Cre8iveTV is a TV show made by Soft Touch Arts, an arts charity based in Leicester. I have been a producer on the show since September 2021. The show is an arts show where prisoners can follow along in their cells, with minimal materials. Imagine Blue Peter or Art Attack but only shown in prisons, and done with minimal materials, which are easy to find within prisons.
The show is currently airing to 78 prisons across England, on a channel called WayOut TV, broadcast on in-cell TV’s.
As well as being a producer on the show, I was their graphic designer, creating graphics such as the main logo for the show, animating some transitions and the main intro animation.
The main logo for the show was designed to be versatile, needing to be used on clothing for the team and presenters, digitally on the show and on any printed/online marketing material we put out before the show aired.
I am also in charge of putting together an exhibition of the shows artwork, with prisoners being asked to send in the artwork they do whilst watching the show, in order to be put in our gallery section of the show and to be put in the exhibition which is open to the public.
